מסכה טובה, אבל אתה צריך לבדוק שהיא מתאימה לך. אם יש אפשרות, עדיף במים.
כדאי מאוד לבדוק גם את ההתאמה של הסנפירים - שיהיה לך נוח לצלול בהם (שלא יהיה קשיח מדי) ושיהיה יעיל בשבילך.
את החגורה צריך לקנות (תדאג שתהיה מגומי), לשים עליה מספר משקולות, ללבוש אותה מעל חליפה ולהיכנס למים  במים תמצלול ל10 מטר, אם אתה לא צף ולא שוקע - ניחשת נכון. אם אתה צף למעלה, תוסיף משקל, אם ההפך, תוריד.
