זהו רגע הלידה של גור דולפינים. הרגע הייחודי נתפס בעדשת המצלמה על ידי צלם מקומי באקווריום "Oltremare" שבאיטליה



בדרך כלל, בתום הריון בן שנה, דולפינים בשבי נוהגים ללדת בשעות הלילה והרחק ממבטו של הציבור. אך דולפין זה, באופן יוצא דופן, ילד במהלך שעות היום ואל מול חלון צפיה באקווריום, וסיפק לצלם לאנדרו סטנזאני נקודת מבט ייחודיות.

הגור הגיח מרחם אימו כאשר זנבו יוצא ראשון, על מנת שלא ינשום את המים, והחל לשחות מיד לאחר לידתו. הגור החל לינוק מאד מהר ולצרוך את המרכיבים החיוניים להתפתחות המערכת החיסונים שלו מחלב אימו.

הגור יינק במשך כ-18 חודשים ויתחיל לאכול גם דגים בגיל 4 חודשים. דולפינים מזן זה (Bottlenose) הינם הנפוצים ביותר מבין 45 המינים השונים של הדולפינים, ומגיע לאורך חיים של כ-20 שנים בטבע. ידוע גם על פריטים שהגיעו לגיל המופלג של 48 שנים.



מגיוון שהגור נולד בשבי, אין זה סביר כי הוא ישוחרר אי פעם אל הטבע. ככל הנראה יצטרף הגור לתוכנית הרביה בשבי של הדולפינים שמנוהלת על ידי ההתאחדות גני החיות והאקווריומים האירופאית.
